In the 70s in Italy, there was an unprecedented tourism boom of our coastal area, with more and more hotels, seaside resorts and accommodation facilities. Stainless steel, due to its resistance to corrosion and its durability, was the main material in building such maritime facilities.

In 1977 an entrepreneur from Rimini decided to capitalize on that emerging trend. Inoxmare was born with the aim of suppling stainless steel for the growing demand of the area.

Over the years, Inoxmare made its name as a reference point in the sector, widening its range of products.

In 1999 the German group Würth (multinational corporation with more than 400 companies and 80000 employees worldwide) acquired Inoxmare. This entailed an exponential growth in terms of turnover and human capital for the company.

In 2007, the significant development of the company led to a move to a new location. What were the reasons of this change?

A larger warehouse was paramount to widen the range of products and to meet the ever-growing demands of the customers. Moreover, to better the services offered, sales offices too needed additional space.

The warehouse was moved to Bologna, Italy’s nerve centre, to ease shipments nationally and internationally. Sales offices were moved to new premises in Rimini.

In 2019, due to increasing demand, it was necessary to expand our logistics warehouse.

Today, the warehouse covers an area of 20,000 square metres, offering enough space to handle the growing demands of our customers.

With over 30,000 pallet spaces and a product range of more than 20,000 items, we are able to supply a wide selection of products and guarantee fast and efficient delivery.

In 2022, the company reached an unprecedented turnover of more than 109 million euros.
